Luxury wine in Colchagua Valley

My journey to a magical place:

I have traveled many times through this rural road in the Sixth Region of Chile, in the marvelous Colchagua Valley. This time, I travel by night. It is a foggy night that makes the experience even more mysterious and romantic, as I make my way to the Agua Clara Castle.

Visiting this place is a journey deep into life and the spirit of my host, Alejandro Caerols, also known as the Count of Colchagua…My friend Alejandro!

One can only visit him by special invitation. His medieval castle is nested in one of the most traditional lands of Chile. It is a structure born out of Alejandro´s childhood dreams. It is he who greats us as if surrounded by an aura of mystery and warmth. He is a true modern renaissance man: he is an architect, a musician, an artisan, a healer, a wine maker and a watchman for the purest water in Chile. He transports his guests into a remote time where food and landscape resembles those of the princess and Knights of distant times.
